Anthony Havelock-Allan produced some of the best-known films of the British cinema, including In Which We Serve (1942), Brief Encounter (1945), Blithe Spirit (1945) and
Great Expectations (1946). The films were commercial triumphs and made Havelock-Allan one of the most influential producers in British cinema.

This documentary will be filmed in High Definition and will include various excerpts from the films, as well as archive TV interviews (Sir David Lean, Sir Anthony, Sir John Mills) and new exclusive interviews with those that knew Sir Anthony. We currently have the support of the David Lean Film Trust (who own the rights to his movies) as well as Sir Anthony’s widow; Lady Havelock-Allan.
