ESPRESSO T.V. Made in Sheffield 1 x 52'
'Made in Sheffield' charts the evolution of the post punk music scene, which was popularised during the early 1980s. Acting as an escapist form from the grim realities of Industrial Sheffield, music presented an alternative way of life. Incorporating electronically and experimental beats, bands such as Pulp, The Human League and Cabaret Voltaire found popularity and enjoyed commercial success. This documentary features original interviews with all of the key players - Phil Oakley, Chris Watson, Jarvis Cocker and Steven Singleton - it captures the camaraderie and excitement of the time.
