The Cobblers Tale is a parable rather than a narrative in which shoes seen through the eye of the cobbler bear witness to the nature of the world. The shoe repair shop is located in a run down street in North East England, the neighbourhood is home to a large Sephardic Jewish Community. The cobbler, alive in myth and fairy tale, has been with us for thousands of years, mediating between our feet and the earth. His customers have faith in his skills wanting to believe that he can mend anything.
