The MARS moving footage includes two-hundred hours of specialist material and this figure is constantly growing.

The archive is especially strong in aviation, from its early times to the present day.

It has extensive footage of armoured fighting vehicles, including tanks, armoured cars and self-propelled artillery.

It is also strong on rockets and missiles as well as the warships of a number of countries.

Many conflicts such as World War Two, the Korean War, and the Vietnam war are covered in depth. Footage of Grenada, Libya and operations in the Persian Gulf is also available. In addition there is some material of the numerous bushfire wars.
